Position Overview:

Offers exceptional patient care by conducting diagnostic imaging procedures to illustrate anatomical structures and assist in interpretation and treatment, while following safety protocols for radiation exposure.

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at the upcoming Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) in Waterford Lakes, scheduled to commence operations in April 2025. Initially, you will be stationed at Orlando Regional Medical Center, where you will gain valuable experience and contribute to our team until the Waterford Lakes facility is operational.

Working Hours:
Monday-Thurday 4:00p-10:30pm

Job Duties:

  • Demonstrates professional discretion in service delivery and upholds a demeanor that aligns with top-notch care provision.
  • Administers care tailored to each patient’s condition, ensuring procedure success.
  • Complies with relevant state and federal regulations relating to each imaging modality.
  • Adheres to the mission and standards of excellence set by the organization.
  • Evaluates patient’s physical condition and unique requirements based on age.
  • Provides instructions for patient cooperation and optimal results.
  • Conducts proper patient identification, gathers clinical history, and ensures accurate documentation.
  • Positions patients and equipment, adjusts technical factors for high-quality images.
  • Reviews images for quality, annotates appropriately, and ensures proper patient identification and anatomy display.
  • Applies radiation safety principles to minimize exposure risks.
  • Follows Quality Control standards and participates in related tasks.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in contrast media administration.
  • Provides medical assistance in reaction cases or emergencies.
  • Adheres to safety protocols and uses protective equipment to prevent contagion.
  • Participates in training new technologists and supervising students.
  • Uses Radiology computer systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensures customer safety at all times.
  • Maintains regular, punctual attendance as per organizational policies and regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures of the organization.

Requirements:

Education/Training
Completion of a recognized Radiologic Technology program.

Licensure/Certification

Valid Florida State Certified Radiologic Technologist license, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, and current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
