Job Type: 32 Hours, Evenings, Rotating Weekends, Full-Time, Benefits Included

Primary Role:

As an essential part of our healthcare team, you will work closely with Registered Nurses to provide vital support. Your duties will involve assisting patients, recording essential information, ensuring patient comfort and cleanliness, monitoring patient status, and aiding in medical procedures and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist nursing staff in delivering patient care under supervision.
  • Create a secure and supportive environment for patients, helping with daily tasks, responding promptly to needs, and monitoring well-being.
  • Aid in patient admissions, transfers, room preparation, and mobility assistance.
  • Support patients with personal hygiene, intake monitoring, and specimen collection.
  • Accurately record and report patient data, follow proper waste disposal procedures, and adhere to infection control guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience:
    • Preferred 1-2 years of relevant experience in healthcare or clinical settings.
    • Proficiency in basic computer skills.
  • Certification/Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory.
  • Software/Hardware: Familiarity with electronic health record systems is advantageous.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for performing treatment-related calculations.
  • Capability to lift, transfer, and assist patients effectively.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in phlebotomy are desirable.
