Full-time, 9:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts.
Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring the well-being and comfort of residents by preparing and serving nutritious and appetizing meals. Must possess knowledge of food selection, procurement, storage, and food safety regulations to maintain high standards of dining service.
Primary Job Duties:
  • Meal Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and serve meals to residents according to schedule, ensuring proper temperature and presentation.
  • Table Setting and Cleanup: Set up tables, clear dishes, and maintain a clean dining area for residents’ enjoyment.
  • Dining Experience: Create a welcoming and pleasant dining environment that meets residents’ expectations.
  • Dish Handling: Handle dishware, utensils, and glassware safely and hygienically.
  • Dietary Requirements: Follow menu plans and cater to special dietary needs as required.
  • Kitchen Equipment Management: Operate kitchen appliances efficiently and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene standards in kitchen and dining areas.
  • Waste Disposal: Dispose of kitchen waste properly and maintain cleanliness in all work areas.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 18 years of age with relevant certifications or training.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in written and spoken English to effectively communicate with residents and team members.
