REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Prior exposure to healthcare operations and terminology is essential.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in patient care or related roles.
- Completion of a specialized training program for critical care in rhythm detection is expected.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs., pushing/pulling 15 lbs. from floor to table
- Adept at manual tasks like typing, writing, and operating equipment
- Dexterity for tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and prolonged sitting or standing
- Proficiency in English reading and comprehension
- Mobility for walking, standing, and using computer workstations
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A HEALTHCARE SPECIALIST:
The Healthcare Specialist oversees continuous monitoring of patients’ cardiac conditions in the Intensive Care Unit. This role involves surveillance, documentation, and effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Monitor and report cardiac rhythms accurately and promptly to nursing staff
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient rhythm history
- Stay updated on latest cardiac monitoring techniques and procedures
- Pursue ongoing training and certifications relevant to the role
- Adhere to core competency standards for monitor technicians
- Participate in mandatory training sessions and obtain required certifications

Salary Range: $17.50-$22.90/hour Compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location. Base salaries for exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be determined by hourly rates. Location-based variations may apply within the specified range.
