TITLE: Wellness Program Coordinator

DEPARTMENTAL SUMMARY: The Health & Wellness department focuses on providing resources and programs to enhance the physical and mental well-being of our community.

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Wellness Program Coordinator at Healthy Wellness Network is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating wellness programs aimed at improving the overall health of participants. This role involves coordinating with internal and external partners to create engaging and impactful wellness initiatives. The Wellness Program Coordinator does not directly supervise other team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

Design and execute wellness programs and initiatives tailored to the needs of participants

Collaborate with vendors and community organizations to enhance program offerings

Assess program effectiveness through data analysis and participant feedback

Promote wellness activities through various channels to increase participation

Manage program budgets and resources efficiently

Adhere to organizational values and ethical standards in all interactions and decision-making

Support a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the department

Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for participants and staff

Deliver exceptional customer service while promoting positive health outcomes

May be assigned additional responsibilities within the department based on organizational needs

EDUCATION:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, or related field

Preferred: Master’s degree in Public Health or related discipline

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

Required: Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification or eligibility for certification

Preferred: Current CPR/AED certification

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing and implementing health promotion programs

Preferred: Experience working in corporate wellness or community health settings

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

Must comply with any PPE requirements necessary for program activities

Continually (75% or more): Standing, walking, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 20-45 pounds, speaking clearly, hearing normal conversation
