Host/Hostess:
Welcomes guests, escorts them to their tables, and ensures a pleasant dining experience. Maintains cleanliness of the dining area, assists with table setup, and coordinates with kitchen staff for timely food service. Responsible for organizing reservations, managing waitlists, and assisting with special events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner
- Assist with table turnovers and ensure tables are properly set up
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery
- Manage reservations and maintain waitlists during peak hours
- Coordinate with event planners for special occasions and functions
- Monitor dining area for cleanliness and address any maintenance issues promptly
- Provide excellent customer service and address guest concerns or special requests
- Assist in maintaining inventory of dining supplies and work with vendors for replenishment
- Support team members in ensuring smooth operations during service hours
- Follow established protocols for safety, hygiene, and service quality
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates for the Host/Hostess role should have prior experience in customer service, preferably in the hospitality industry. Basic knowledge of reservation systems, table seating arrangements, and event coordination is beneficial. Strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
