Position Overview

As supervised by the Team Leaders, this role involves overseeing sanitation practices and dishwashing duties across the department. Responsibilities include: – Loading patient meal trays onto food carts for delivery to different floors. – Transporting and collecting patient food carts within the healthcare facility (including Salem, BHSH, and RHK). – Cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans with designated detergents. – Completing various sanitation tasks as outlined in the monthly kitchen cleaning schedule. – Operating the dishwashing machine, ensuring all cleaned items are stored correctly. – Cleaning and sanitizing food carts using appropriate products. – Organizing and maintaining cleanliness in the dishwashing area, including disassembling and cleaning the dishwashing machine. – Supporting the patient tray-line operations. – Performing floor cleaning duties as assigned. – Disposing of waste in designated areas and cleaning trash carts. – Executing any additional tasks as directed by the supervisor

Requirements

Basic reading, writing, and communication skills are necessary. Ability to follow oral instructions reliably. Willingness to learn the practices, routines, and equipment specific to the assigned work area. Familiarity with cleaning chemicals is advantageous. Completion of grades 7 to 10, or equivalent, is preferred
