PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory of supplies in designated storage areas. Ensure items are properly labeled, stored, and rotated according to expiration dates.
- Participate in the preparation and presentation of food items for events and gatherings. Follow established recipes and guidelines to ensure high-quality dishes are served.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation areas. Regularly clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils.
- Assist with the coordination of food deliveries and shipments. Verify incoming supplies against orders and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Contribute to the team effort by engaging in cross-training activities and supporting colleagues in peak periods or special projects.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols to prevent any potential hazards in the work environment. Implement proper handling and storage techniques to avoid contamination.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management to support daily operations and ensure customer satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL:
Demonstrated knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Experience in utilizing and maintaining various kitchen tools and equipment. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and efficiently. Strong organizational skills and the capacity to adapt to changing priorities.
DESIRABLE:
Familiarity with large-scale food preparation methods and specialized dietary requirements. Proficiency in following standardized recipes for institutional settings.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
Requires moderate physical exertion. Capable of lifting weights up to 50 lbs., as well as moving heavy carts. Must be able to stand for extended periods and handle hot items safely. Able to work in noisy, hot, or crowded environments. Perform repetitive tasks for extended durations and meet deadlines effectively. Skilled at operating kitchen machinery such as dishwashers, slicers, and mixers.
