EXPECTED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program Registration Protocol: Assist in overseeing the registration process for volunteers, helping to maintain accurate records of volunteer participation.
Communication Guidelines: As a representative of our organization, refrain from personal outreach to program beneficiaries outside of designated volunteer activities. Uphold confidentiality protocols in all communications.
Data Privacy: Handle all information pertaining to program beneficiaries with the utmost confidentiality. Avoid disclosing any personal details or sensitive data without proper authorization.
Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to the organization’s dress code policies when engaging with volunteers and program participants. Serve as a positive role model at all times.
Code of Ethics: Avoid engaging in any activities that may compromise the safety or well-being of volunteers and beneficiaries. Exercise caution in physical interactions and adhere to established behavioral guidelines.
Health & Safety Guidelines: Prioritize the well-being of all individuals involved in our programs. Refrain from volunteering if feeling unwell and communicate any absences promptly to the designated contact.
Policy Familiarity: Familiarize yourself with the organization’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with program guidelines. Stay informed through regular review of relevant materials.
Allergen Awareness: Be mindful of potential allergens and follow designated protocols for handling allergies within the program environment. Seek guidance from program supervisors regarding specific precautions to be taken.
Technology Usage: Exercise discretion in the use of personal devices during volunteer activities to maintain a focused and productive environment for all participants.
Safety Procedures: In the event of any volunteer-related injuries, promptly inform the relevant school personnel to ensure timely reporting and appropriate action.
Facility Etiquette: Adhere to designated restroom facilities for staff members and avoid using student restrooms. Ensure appropriate supervision when accompanying individuals to restroom facilities.
Accompanying Children: Volunteers and assistants are requested not to bring additional children during volunteering activities, including school visits, excursions, or overnight trips.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Oversight and Support: Work closely with supervising staff to deliver effective volunteer programs. Any concerns regarding volunteer conduct should be promptly addressed by the supervising team.
Operational Guidelines: Recognize the authority of professional staff in key decision-making areas related to student instruction, school management, and safety protocols. Your insights and input are valued in enhancing program impact while respecting designated boundaries. The following activities should be avoided:
- Disciplining or counseling students
- Accessing student records or medical information
- Dismissing students from school premises
- Engaging with students unsupervised
- Discussing student progress or issues with parents
- Providing food or medication to students
- Evaluating student achievements, including grading tasks
- Operating school vehicles
- Distributing unauthorized materials or solicitations
