Position Summary:
Joining the Wellness Compliance team, this role involves working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the accuracy and integrity of patient documentation. Responsibilities encompass the coordination of incoming medical records, communication with external sources and patients, processing external health data inquiries, and integrating test findings to optimize data accuracy. Proficiency in medical records processes and comprehension of state and federal confidentiality laws are essential. This part-time opportunity entails 20-25 hours weekly commitment.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a degree or certification in administrative studies, business, or a related discipline. Alternatively, prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in Medical Recordkeeping may be suitable. Strong interpersonal skills, effective verbal communication abilities, and proficiency in computer software, including electronic health records and Microsoft programs, are required. Additional qualities such as meticulousness, self-sufficiency, flexibility, problem-solving capabilities, a positive demeanor, and a patient-centered focus are highly regarded.
