We are looking for a Pharmacy Support Specialist to contribute to the operations of the Serene Health mental health and specialized pharmacy by assisting in prescription dispensing and performing essential administrative tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Our pharmacy is situated at: Mountainview Behavioral Health, 1200 Main St Suite 3, Richmond VA.

Work hours will be 32 hours weekly within the 8:30am to 5:00pm pharmacy operational hours from Monday to Friday, with full benefits included.

No prior experience necessary! Candidates must be prepared to secure a Temporary Pharmacy Support Specialist license if not already licensed in the state of Virginia.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to all clients and clinic personnel
  • Prepare prescription orders and ensure they are ready for pharmacist verification
  • Manage pharmacy inventory by ordering, receiving, and organizing incoming supplies
  • Process wholesaler medication orders
  • Maintain accurate medication stock records and input data into the system
  • Support the pharmacist in pharmacy operations to comply with state and federal regulations
  • Execute various administrative tasks within the department
  • Demonstrate effective professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacy Support Specialist or willing to obtain a Temporary Pharmacy Support Specialist license in Virginia

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Support Specialist Certification
  • Experience with pharmacy and prescription data entry

This position offers an hourly rate ranging from $16.50 to $29.00, depending on full-time employment. Compensation is determined by factors such as local labor markets, educational background, work experience, certifications, and more.
