Primary Responsibilities
- Support patient well-being by providing comfort items like snacks, beverages, cushions, and linens.
- Execute assigned patient care tasks such as documenting vital signs, room upkeep, observation, and equipment preparation.
- Evaluate non-medical requirements of patients and their loved ones.
- Deliver exceptional service by following set standards and procedures.
- Assist in preserving an ample inventory of supplies and equipment across the Critical Care Unit.
- Monitor inventory status and maintain records of equipment service schedules.
- Efficiently communicate with nursing leadership regarding supply and equipment needs.
- Participate in patient care duties under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Ensure adherence to technical protocols and hospital policies.
- Promote a safe and protected environment for patients, visitors, and co-workers.
- Engage in unit-related tasks, team meetings, and committees as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to deliver optimal care and assistance to patients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is a must
- Prior experience in patient care role is advantageous
- Hold a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from either AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross
